One library for your reading pile

Import PDF, DOCX, PPTX, XLSX, EPUB, ODT, HTML and readable text files. Attach up to five documents to a conversation. Source locations follow the file: pages, slides, sheets, chapters or parts.

Get ready before going offline

  1. Install a suitable compatible chat model. The app recommends 3B+ models for documents; available memory matters.
  2. Download the optional document search model, about 334 MB, when prompted.
  3. Add your files and wait for indexing to finish.
  4. Ask a specific question, then open the source and check the answer.

Sources help you check

Short documents can be read in full. Longer files are searched for relevant passages. Summaries can use notes from document parts; very long files may be sampled, with that limitation disclosed. Citations are a checking aid, not an accuracy guarantee.

What files can be read?

PDFs need a readable text layer. Scanned PDF OCR is not supported. Old DOC/XLS/PPT formats, RTF and protected Office files are not supported; convert them to an appropriate readable format. Some PDFs can be unlocked with their password.

Storage and deletion

Imported files and their search indexes stay in app-private storage and are excluded from the current Android backup allowlist. Answers and quoted source snippets are saved in the chat database, which Android may back up. Removing a file from Library does not remove quoted passages from past chats. Delete the conversation to remove those records.
